Here we go!....Lucky number three. The third time
around, and now we have a name: Cubanima. Combining song and rhyme,
festivities and wisdom, we have reached the third edition of this
Festival, brimming with the noble aspirations of creating and acting
in favour of a quality audio-visual universe. We invite producers
and professionals involved in all aspects that deal with audiences
of children and teenagers to participate.
All animation, fiction and documentary
work produced for the cinema or for television after the year 2006
may be entered, either in short, medium or feature-length format.
In order to be shown, work must fulfil the following conditions:
It must address
children and teenagers.
It must be
in DVD and VHS format, in the NTSC system, and having the required
quality. In exceptional cases, only a VHS version may be submitted
(in 2 copies on separate cassettes.)
Work in Spanish,
dubbed into Spanish or whose communication does not depend on mastery
of a foreign language.
In the case
of a series, only one separate episode may be submitted.
The Festival will have three juries.
One is made up of boys and girls, a second is made up of teenagers
and the third is made up of five producers and/or Cuban or foreign
experts who are internationally renowned in the field. The first
two will separately decide on a single prize for the best work.
The jury of professionals will award three prizes for each of the
following categories:
Best Animation
Best Fiction
Best Documentary
Running side-by-side with the showing of the work,
there will be workshops, expositions and other activities.
Registration will be open until February 15, 2008,
